When we are hungry or thirsty, we get something to eat or drink. Jesus says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” This means that we should always try to do what God says first. #4 Look for the Important Things in Your Life And if we do that, Jesus says we will “inherit the earth.” The Bible teaches us that meekness and gentleness are not something we should avoid by trying to get our own way, but it’s a way to love others as God loves us. They may also be mean to others and want to hurt other people’s feelings.īut Jesus says, “Blessed are the meek.” This word can mean “gentle” or “soft,” and it used to mean someone who seemed very humble, didn’t speak up much, and never won anything. Maybe you have friends that seem more important – they can do things you wish you could do, or they have more stuff than you. #3 God Has Big Plans for You, Even If You Don’t Feel Important He will comfort you when you are sad, and remind you that He will never let you down. When you pray to Him and read your Bible, it’s like God sits down next to you and tells you that everything will be all right. Jesus says, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” When you are sad about something, God will be there to comfort you. It doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to be sad now, but that sadness won’t last forever – if you believe in Jesus, you have an eternal home with Him, and He will always take care of you. He promises to make them happy by loving them and making a place for them in heaven.
